The New DYAD AVS (Advanced Vectoring System) features dual Perimeter Weighted cams producing minimal post-shot vibration and great speed. The DYAD AVS system allows Mathews to dynamically move the force vector of the anchored cable from one side of the cam axle to the complete other side of the axle. This patented technology allowed engineers the ability to optimize draw force profiles for energy storage, maximizing the Monster Chill R’s performance and efficiency. In Addition the AVS DYAD Cam System features Dual Perimeter-Weighted Technology, yet another Mathews innovation.  Perimeter Weighed technology features a metal Inertia Disk strategically placed on the perimeter of the cam. As the bow limbs fire, the Inertia Disk catapults in the opposite direction, counteracting the limb momentum and resulting in dramatically decreased recoil and noise.

The Chill R™ integrates the Grid Lock pattern in an advanced geometric design called Geo Grid Lock™. This technological breakthrough creates an ultra-rigid lightweight riser, making the bow one of the industry’s lightest hunting bows.

The Reverse Assist™ Roller Guard reduces friction for a smoother draw cycle by positioning cables in a reverse manner; in front rather than behind the roller guard.  Traditional roller guards position cables on the back side of the roller guard and cause the cables to wrap tighter as the bow is drawn back and therefore places more pressure on the cables.  The Reverse Assist™ Roller Guard allows the cable to roll with less tension in a fully contained roller guard and ultimately makes the bow smoother since there is less tension on the cable.
